Jae enrolled in CIS programs at Mt. Tahoma High School during his sophomore year of school. He was faced with many challenges his freshman year and he was hopeful to get support to help him succeed. Jae struggled to balance life, sports and school and was interested in our tutoring and mentoring programs. Although Jae’s GPA was passing when he entered the program, he was disappointed in himself for not doing better. Jae set a goal to reach a 3.0 GPA and he finished his junior year having exceeded that goal. He attended mentor groups when he was able and he made sure to check-in regularly with his Site Coordinator Ms. Tracy to ensure he was on track for graduation, and it worked! Jae graduated on time in 2018 with plans to attend a 4-year university in the fall. Congratulations and good luck!
