Lin Fant joined CIS of Tacoma in 2016 as the Operations Manger but she has been a supporter of CIS for many years prior. Her first connections with CIS of Tacoma came when she organized her workplace’s collection site for Stuff the Bus in 2005. After that she was an active member of the Annual Luncheon planning committee and served on the Board of Directors for 5 years.
Originally from Midwest, Lin earned her BA in English from Bradley University in Peoria, IL. She moved to Seattle in 2000 where she worked for Simpson Lumber Company. While working in the finance department at Simpson, she decided to further her education and studied accounting at Highline Community College. Working for CIS of Tacoma, she has been able to blend together her corporate finance experience with her writing and communication background to keep the CIST office running. She enjoys working for a non-profit that has such an impact on students’ lives by helping them prepare for life after high school.
