Katie joins us in her first year with Communities In Schools of Tacoma as the Site Coordinator at Arlington Elementary. Katie was born and raised in the PNW and brings years of experience working with kids of all ages in the childcare field.
Katie earned her bachelor’s degree from the University of Washington Tacoma and went on to pursue a Master of Education in School Counseling from Liberty University. With a passion for social/emotional learning and student success, she is eager to use these skills to encourage academic achievement, increase sense of belonging, and support students in whatever way they need throughout their day at school.
In her spare time, she enjoys seeing Broadway shows, going for walks, and spending time with her extended family.
