The READY! Set, Read-Tacoma! Summer Program is in it’s second week and preschoolers and families are having a blast! Last week at Sheridan they learned all about bears after reading Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What do You See? The children used magnets and stuffed animals to duplicate the ordering in the book. A volunteer dressed up as a bear and the children went on a bear hunt to find him. Then they made little brown bears of their own in the school’s courtyard.
At Crescent Heights, participants worked on mixing and matching colors during their Colors Lesson.
Jason Lee preschoolers made their own leaf men after listening to Leaf Man read by middle school students.
