Brook is an 8th grader and second year participant in the Project RISE after school program.  He currently has all A’s in his classes, but it hasn’t been the easiest time.  Brook has had several personal setbacks this year; not knowing if his family is going to pick up and move, relationships with friends have been strained, deciding where to go to school next year, processing school drama and balancing homework with his participation in his band.  At one point, Brook was failing his Humanities class, but he was able to move past this, get help and raise his grade to an A.  After high school Brook wants to travel around the world and after some time to return to attend Western Washington University.  Where, he wants to study recreation/urban development.  We are very proud of Brook for overcoming the social/emotional issues in middle school and pushing through your final year in middle school!
