Antoni joined Communities In Schools last summer when he applied for a summer internship through the CIS H.I.R.E. Program. He had been looking for a way to earn some extra money to help pay for driver’s education and a car so that he could provide transportation for his family, which they needed. However, Antoni was worried about holding down a job and managing his schoolwork at the same time. The summer internship was the perfect opportunity for him since it wouldn’t take away from his school or homework time. Since then, Antoni has received tutoring services, basic resources, and joined the CIS Tastes of Service Club where he has opportunities to give back to his peers and community. Antoni plans to join the Marines after graduation next year and is thankful for all the support that CIS has given him to help that dreams come true.
