Stuff the Bus is a School Supply Drive and Back to School Fundraising Campaign. Stuff the Bus ensures that students in the greater Pierce County area have the tools and support from our Site Coordinators they need to succeed all year long.

There are a few ways you can get involved:

  1. Host a School Supply Drive at your business location. We’ll provide the container and graphics, you set out the box and promote it to your employees and/or customers. Collection dates are from August 1- August 15. Pick Up is Thursday, August 15. Sign up to be a collection site.
  2. Sponsor the community-wide school supply drive and Block Party. Your sponsorship ensures students in the greater Pierce County area have the tools and support they need to succeed all year long! Sponsor the event. Email inquiries to njackso1@cisoftacoma.org
  3. Donate to the Stuff the Bus drive. Order supplies online through Amazon and have them shipped directly to us, make a monetary donation, or drop off supplies at Oakland High School (3702 E. McKinley Ave.).
  4. Stuff the Bus Volunteers. Volunteers are needed to pick up supplies from our collection sites, help sort supplies and stuff backpacks. Volunteer dates are August 15 and August 16-19 at Oakland High School. Sign up to volunteer here.
  5. Block Party Volunteers. Volunteers are needed to distribute backpacks, greet families, and support the overall success of the Block Party on Tuesday, August 27th at Oakland High School. Sign up to volunteer here.
  6. Reserve a Table at the Block Party. Youth and family serving organizations and businesses are encouraged to register to attend the event to distribute information on community resources and giveaways. Sign to reserve a Table at the Block Party.
